An endless time that you can fill and breathe

Podere 1384 is a farmstead born with sustainability in mind. Everything, starting from the energy supply, was created following the most advanced ecological criteria, with the most efficient technologies.
A new generation photovoltaic system provides 50% of the energy requirement, the maximum allowed by current regulations, but we are pursuing the goal of full energy independence.
As part of this project, charging stations for electric cars are available on-site.

Adriano Zago
Agronomist and enologist

Our agricultural project was launched in 2019 and was born organic to evolve towards a biodynamic management. Biodiversity and policulturality are our watchwords. The main crop is the vineyard combined with vegetables, olive oil, and aromatic herbs, within the Chianti landscape of woods and shrubland.
We are in the Chianti Classico territory and the vineyards have their roots planted in rocky, skeletal soils, rich in elements which provide the grapes with exceptional characteristics.
Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Mammolo, Trebbiano e Malvasia Chiantigiana: we have chosen exclusively native varieties to create the next vintages of our Chianti Classico, Rosato and Bianco Tipico.

Vegetable garden

The vegetable garden is the heart of the Podere, after which our restaurant is named: “Horto”.
A garden welcoming you with all its beauty and biodiversity, outlining a path that reaches the kitchen and dining table, and offers the opportunity for pairing its delights with wines produced at the farm.
Among these is the extra virgin olive oil extracted from local varieties: Pendolino, Moraiolo and Frantoio. The result is a blend that embodies the Renaissance soul of Tuscany.
In the coming season the wheat supply chain will be launched for the production of flours, fresh and dried pasta.
